Jack Perry, son of the late Luke Perry, honoured his father in a singularly unique way: inside the wrestling ring.
Perry, 21, who wrestles under the moniker “Jungle Boy,” faced off against actor/pro wrestling aficionado David Arquette at the Bootleg Theatre in Los Angeles, reports People. Perry dedicated the match to the late “Beverly Hills, 90210” star, who passed away in February after suffering a stroke.
According to People, Arquette — who goes by the ring name “Candy Man” — bombarded the crowd with candy as he indulged in Pop Rocks washed down with soda.
In the match, “Candy Man” proved to be no match for “Jungle Boy”, with Perry hammering away at Arquette until finally pinning him.
After taking a beating, Arquette took hold of the microphone and offered praise to the late “Riverdale” star. “I loved your father dearly,” Arquette told Perry, adding, “I love you,” his voice quavering as he gave Perry a big hug.
Perry later offered Arquette his thanks in a heartfelt Instagram post, writing, “Thank you for everything.”
