Omari Hardwick was recently slammed by the Beyhive after leaning in for a double kiss with Beyonce at the NAACP Image Awards, and the actor was asked about the whole thing during an appearance on “Strahan & Sara”.
Hardwick was on the talk show to chat about the series “Power” alongside his co-stars when Strahan brought up the “awkward” moment, which he called “Kiss Gate.”
Despite Hardwick simply smiling and keeping quiet, Naturi Naughton was quick to jump to her co-star’s defence.
She insisted, “You know the [Beyhive] try to come for my boy, my TV husband. He was just being a friend. Why can’t friends kiss and hug anymore? I mean they made that way bigger, so I was there and it was so not a situation.”
The comments come after Hardwick was criticized when he was caught on camera going in for a second kiss with Beyonce as Jay-Z stood beside her.

The actor first gave the “Halo” hitmaker a kiss on the cheek, followed by a long hug and then a second smooch, this one near her lips, which her army of fans insisted was not OK.
