According to a Huffington Post report, Robin Wright recently revealed that she demanded a pay increase to match the salary of her male co-star Kevin Spacey in their hit Netflix series “House of Cards”;.
Not only has Wright appeared in all 52 episodes of the political thriller, she has also directed numerous episodes, and jumped on as executive producer for the most recent season.

“I was like, “I want to be paid the same as Kevin,'”; revealed Wright during a Tuesday night panel at the Rockefeller Center.
“It was the perfect paradigm,”; she added. “There are very few films or TV shows where the male, the patriarch, and the matriarch are equal. And they are in “House of Cards”;.”;

Like Claire Underwood, Wright is no stranger to using leverage to get her way.
“I was looking at statistics and Claire Underwood’s character was more popular than [Frank’s] for a period of time,”; explained the 50-year-old actress. “So I capitalized on it. I was like, ‘You better pay me or I’m going to go public’ And they did.”
