When NBC’s pint-sized talent showcase “Little Big Shots” returns in 2020, the show will undergo a revamp — and that includes the show’s host.
Speaking to reporters on Sunday, reports The Hollywood Reporter, NBC Entertainment co-chairman Paul Telegdy revealed that the show’s original host, Steve Harvey, will be replaced by Melissa McCarthy in what he described as a “new version” of the show.
“Everyone around here is just incredibly excited to have [McCarthy] at NBC,” he said.
Without getting into specifics, Telegdy explained that bringing in McCarthy as new host provides the opportunity for “a real refresh,” adding: “Melissa is just an incredible performer and incredible comedian, and she’ll bring a really fresh perspective to it.”
