Britney Spears’ mother is assuring the public that her daughter is doing just fine.
Lynne Spears told paparazzi her daughter is doing “wonderful” despite a rough stretch in 2019. Lynne has been by her daughter’s side as the singer sorts out her conservatorship, issues which have reportedly put members of the family at odds.
Lynne did not answer any more questions as she hopped into her Mercedes-Benz SUV, per The Blast. She was leaving an iPhone repair shop when she was noticed by paparazzi.
Last week, the mother-and-daughter duo were spotted holding hands as they walked into the Los Angeles courthouse. A source tells ET that Britney sat next to her mother inside the courtroom, and looked “comfortable.”
While the singer’s father, Jamie Spears, has been Britney’s sole conservator for more than a decade, TMZ says a source tells the outlet that “Lynne does not want to become a co-conservator, which creates a weird legal argument,” in that she would potentially have access to her daughter’s medical information, but would have “no right to act on it.”
The singer recently completed a 30-day stint at a mental health facility.
