Canadian folk-rock band The Strumbellas put a new twist on “Summer Of ’69”; just in time for the season!

The rocking new cover will appear on Amazon Music’s Songs of Summer Playlist on June 3. If you don’t feel like waiting nearly two whole weeks, however, you can check out the new track exclusively today on Speakeasy.

The Strumbellas and Bryan Adams are both Ontario natives and the classic tune has a special place in the band’s heart, according to lead singer Simon Ward: “Bryan Adams is a legend around these parts, and it’s just an honour to play a song that he wrote.”;

The group’s latest album “Hope”; was released in April and their single “Spirits”; has since topped the alternative charts.
