The “Queer Eye” cast seems like they have nothing but love for one another these days, but it hasn’t always been that way.

Karamo Brown had Antoni Porowski on a recent episode of his podcast, “Karamo“, with the duo talking about how they didn’t get along when the show first began.

Brown told his co-star, “One of the reasons that I invited you here and I’m so thankful you are open to coming on this is that you and I had our conflict. It was something that the Fab Five knew about, also the crew.”

“Someone, a third party, got involved in what we were talking about, with what our issues was and escalated it to a point where we were no longer able to see each other, to communicate,” he added, according to TooFab.

Brown continued, “My feelings of betrayal had nothing to do with you. It had to do with feelings of family and people who I’ve loved feeling as if like the shoe’s gonna drop and once I get betrayed either they hurt me or I hurt them. Our conflict triggered that emotion and just like it triggered for you… It stems from my family.”

“It was hard for maybe five months. But it was always the question of, ‘Will he betray me again?’ and not saying you betrayed me, the feeling of, ‘Will he betray me again?'”

Brown then opened up about one moment in particular, where he said he wanted to confide in Porowski during the show’s season 1 press tour.

The culture expert shared, “I literally had to fight against [it]. It’s one of those things of like having to be able to check in with your feelings… as they’re happening and you forget they’re always lingering.”

Porowski said of how he felt during that time, “I think it was just… and this is something that comes up for me time and again… it’s of not being heard, not being understood, being disrespected.”

Meanwhile, Brown opened up to E! News about the feud, explaining how he and Porowski “did not talk to each other at all during season 1.”
