Tracee Ellis Ross gets a first-hand taste of Tyler, the Creator’s creativeness.
The “Black-ish” actress plays talk show host Pearl Edwards in the musician’s new music video for “Earfquake” featuring Playboi Carti. The song serves as the second track from Tyler’s fifth studio album Igor.
Tyler — known for his eccentric style and character work in videos — rocked a baby blue suit and bowl-cut blonde wig. The 28-year-old sings his heart out and plays the piano. Carti’s flaming hot verse turned up the temperature as the set begins burning around Tyler.
Igor dropped on May 17 and boasts collaborations with Kanye West, Solange, Pharrell Williams and ASAP Rocky.
The singer has also announced that he will be performing his entire album from top to bottom on May 22. The show will be live-streamed by Apple Music.
“We rented a warehouse, we set some shit up, I’m a perform for 43 god damn minutes, do some songs, they going to film this s**t, but the fans going to like it because they going to be there, and we going to call it a god damn day. That’s one thing, I don’t want to ever look like a skank. I know I f*** around and do crazy shit and whatever you want to say, but I always want to make sure I do not look gross, because out here, we stinking, they skin bad, they just gross. They be sagging and dirty a** stinky a** boxer briefs with things on it. Be out here disgusting, dog,” Tyler said while on Zane Lowe Beats 1 to chat about his album.
