John Oliver is not holding back on his criticism of “The View” co-host Meghan McCain.
On Sunday’s “Last Week Tonight”, the comedian joked about an Icelandic group who performed during the Eurovision Song Contest over the weekend, noting that one of its members is the son of the country’s ambassador to the United Kingdom.
“You may be thinking that’s the most embarrassing child of a prominent political figure you’ve ever seen,” Oliver said. “But let me remind you of the continued existence of Meghan McCain!”
He added, “Oh no! Oh, I bet her husband is going to get so mad at me now! What on Earth is he going to tweet and then delete? I can’t wait to find out!”
Earlier this month, McCain’s husband and conservative web publisher Ben Domenech tweeted a rant about “Late Night” host Seth Meyers after he pressed McCain over her repeatedly calling congressional representative Ilhan Omar anti-Semitic.
“I see that @sethmeyers, the untalented piece of s**t who only has his job because he regularly gargled Lorne Michaels’ b***s, went after my wife tonight with his idiotic anti-Semitic bulls**t,” Domenech tweeted.
