The Duchess of Cambridge had a busy day at the RHS Chelsea Flower show, first showing kids around the woodlands garden she designed and then Queen Elizabeth.
On Sunday, Kate Middleton welcomed Prince William and her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to see the “Back To Nature” garden where they got a chance to climb up in the tree fort and swing on the rope swing.
On Monday, the Duchess helped other children create little reed boats for the stream and toast marshmallows on the fire. “I love the smell of the smoke,” she said. “It’s great, isn’t it?”
Unlike most gardens at the Chelsea Flower Show, the Duchess’ is interactive and attendees can enter the area.
Kate was dressed down for her morning visit in culottes and Superga sneakers, but when Queen Elizabeth came for a look around in the afternoon, the Duchess changed into a floral Erdem dress.
The Duchess quickly swept the garden for stray leaves and stuffed a branch into her handbag reported The Sun‘s, Emily Andrews.
Prince William and Kate both greeted Her Majesty with a kiss on each cheek with Kate adding in a curtsy. Her last minute prep paid off as the Queen remarked, “It’s very tidy.”
The Queen wasn’t the only member of the Royal Family to check out Kate’s hit design. The Earl and Countess of Wessex also swung by with Sophie taking a turn to climb up into the tree house.
