“Seinfeld” star Jason Alexander knows a thing or two about disappointing finales and he has some pleasant advice for the cast of “Game of Thrones”.

Season eight of “GoT” has been divisive among fans and critics alike. In particular, many were unsatisfied with the final two episodes of the beloved HBO fantasy series. “Seinfeld” star Alexander shared an anecdote from his time on “Seinfeld” in support of the “GoT” cast and crew.

“Dear ‘GoT’ company, I know a little something about finales and disappointed fans. My advice: live in joy that you are part of something that moves people so,” Alexander tweeted on Monday. “You were all magnificent. My family and I loved it all. Thanks.”

“To be clear, I adored the ‘Seinfeld’ finale,” he insisted in a separate tweet. “I just keep getting crap about it from fans. I loved that Jerry/Larry found an organic way to bring back all the amazing guests that enriched our show. It was an amazing week together filming it.”

“Seinfeld” originally aired for nine seasons between 1989 and 1998. Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards and Alexander starred on the show for all nine seasons.

“Game of Thrones” said goodbye to fans for good on Sunday, May 19 following an eight-season run between 2011 and 2019. Despite the show’s many deaths, a number of actors made it far enough to at least appear in all eight seasons, including: Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Alfie Allen and Peter Dinklage.
