Ice-T is calling for a change from Amazon after a dangerous encounter with one of the company’s delivery men.
As detailed on Twitter, the “Law And Order: SUV” star, 61, claims he mistook one of Amazon’s delivery men for an intruder and “almost shot” him. This prompted Ice-T to demand the online shopping giant to introduce uniforms.
“Message to Amazon: Now that you have regular people making your home deliveries, maybe they should wear a vest with ‘AMAZON DELIVERY’ on it,” he wrote. “I almost shot a MF creeping up to my crib last night… Just sayin’.”
After an outpouring of responses on Twitter, including one from @AmazonHelp claiming to have pressed this issue to their “logistics team,” one response rubbed fans the wrong way.
The message came from Dave Clark, Amazon’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations, who wrote, “Just sayin’… thanks for the suggestion. We MF’ing love you and our drivers. Lots of innovations coming on this and many that already exist to help you track your package and delivery on a map. Thanks for being a customer.”
But the tone of Clark’s message was met with criticism.
“Is this how he talks to everybody, or does he just talk this way to famous rappers/actors? It sounds disrespectful… he doesn’t even know Ice T,” one user wrote.
Another added, “Am I the only one to hear this tweet in the voice that Dave Chappelle white voice?”
