“Game of Thrones” is over, but that doesn’t mean bookies have stopped taking bets on what happens next.
With a prequel series currently in production, Sportsbetting.ag has set the odds for a number of predictions related to when the prequel will air and what fans can expect to see on it.
Will the first episode of the prequel series air in 2020? They’ve set 3 to 2 odds that it will, with 1 to 2 odds that it won’t.
Bookies are setting 3 to 2 odds that the Knight King will not be featured in the first episode of the prequel series, with 1 to 2 odds that he will appear.
And oddsmakers are also betting 4 to 1 odds that a modern item will be left on set during the first season of the prequel series, with a 1 to 6 chance that there won’t. Viewers spotted a plastic water bottle on set in the series finale on Sunday and fans didn’t miss a coffee cup in a scene with Daenerys Targaryen in season eight’s episode 4.
According to Newsweek, the prequel series was recently spotted shooting at Glenariff in Northern Ireland, with filming going by the working title “Bloodmoon”, though many speculate the series will actually be called “The Long Night”.
Not much else is known about the prequel, except that it will be an all-new story set thousands of years before the events of “Game of Thrones”. The series will star Naomi Watts, Miranda Richardson, Jamie Campbell Bower and more.
Author George R. R. Martin has also said there are several other “Game of Thrones” spin-offs in the works at HBO.
