By Sylvia Ogweng.

Leslie Jones’ past as a Scientology telemarketer (and imposter!) was made public on Wednesday when the “Ghostbusters” actress was outed by Ellen DeGeneres.

“You were a telemarketer for Scientology?” DeGeneres asked.

“Yeah, they kinda still don’t know I’m not a Scientologist,” she said. “Thanks for blowing my cover, Ellen!”

The “Saturday Night Live”; star appeared on the show alongside her “Ghostbusters” co-stars, Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy, where she got candid about her years as a struggling comedian trying to survive in Hollywood. “I lived in Glendale. I needed to pay the rent, and it was a very easy interview. I just acted crazy,” the 48-year-old joked as her co-stars inched away from her. “Oh, my God, I’m sorry, Scientologists, for revealing things.”

McKinnon, meanwhile, shared her own odd-ball job with the audience, admitting that she was once a softball umpire despite being confused by the game’s rules. “In retrospect, I should have brushed up on the rules for softball before litigating them,” the 32-year-old said while laughing.

But it was Wiig who saved the best pre-fame stint for last: “I was an umpire for a Scientology baseball team,” she quipped. “Every time I was like, ‘It’s safe. It’s fine.’ No, I sold peaches at the farmers’ market.”
