On Thursday, CBS All Access premiered the first teaser for the upcoming TV series “Star Trek: Picard”.

The teaser opens with gorgeous images of a vineyard and someone working, with voiceover from a woman saying: “15 years ago today, you led us out of the darkness. You commanded the greatest rescue armada in history. Then you the unimaginable.”

It continues, “What did that cost you? Your faith? Your faith in us? Your faith in yourself?”

As the camera moves in on a set of wine bottles with a “Picard” label on them, the woman asks, “Tell us, why did you leave Starfleet, Admiral?”

Patrick Stewart’s Picard then appears briefly on screen, staring into the camera.

In an interview earlier this year, Stewart teased that unlike the episodic “Next Generation” series, “Picard” will be structured like “a 10-hour movie.”
