Watch Hugh Jackman Get 50,000 People To Sing Sir Ian McKellen ‘Happy Birthday’

What do you get the man who has everything? How about 50,000 people serenading you for your birthday?

Sir Ian McKellen turned 80 on Saturday but unfortunately, his “X-Men” costar was unable to attend the party. That didn’t leave Hugh Jackman empty handed though, “The Wolverine” star led his audience at “The Man, The Music, The Show” in a rendition of “Happy Birthday”.

“I’m sorry I can’t make your party, Ian, but I think I might annoy about 50,000 people,” Jackman said in the video he posted on Instagram as they all started to sing.

He ended the clip by saying, “Love you man, Happy Birthday.”

Cake artist Kay Gajra posted some pictures of the party and his “2 foot tall [cake] made from vanilla cake with jam and buttercream” that was formed to look like the iconic actor.

This as a cake artist is the response we all want the fun , every1 smiling and getting involved ( and a piece of cake ) lol I had the great Honour of making the amazing Sir @ianmckellen a 80th birthday cake for him and his amazing guests last night at @alberthallsbolton after his amazing show. He stood round 2 foot tall and was made from vanilla cake with jam and buttercream. Using fondant/modeling choc @squireskitchen and fully hand dusted/painted . I honestly can say it was sooo fun to make and seeing his response was worth every second of work.
