More details have emerged from court documents filed by Amber Heard, alleging that husband Johnny Depp continually abused her throughout their marriage — including a violent attack on her 30th birthday — and claiming the actor has a substance abuse problem.

In court documents obtained by People, Heard contends that her birthday celebrations took a violent turn when Depp “showed up inebriated and high.”;

After the party guests left, Heard states that she and Depp discussed why he wasn’t by her side during the party, with the discussion becoming heated and soon erupting into violence.

“Johnny grabbed me by the hair and violently shoved me to the floor,”; alleges Heard. “Johnny was also screaming and threatening me, taunting me to stand up.”;

Heard then claims that Depp stormed out of their home, “breaking nearly everything in his path,”; and says that was the last time she saw him for an entire month.

Heard filed for divorce on Monday, and yesterday was granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband after submitting photos of her bruised face as evidence, which she claims occurred when Depp struck her in the face with his iPhone last Saturday; an LAPD spokesperson, however, said that police investigated the claims of domestic violence that night but saw no evidence of a crime.

In her filing, Heard also claims that “during the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me.”;

In addition, the documents also claim: “Johnny has a long-held and widely-acknowledged public and private history of drug and alcohol abuse. He has a short fuse. He is often paranoid and his temper is extremely scary for me as it has proven many times to be physically dangerous and/or life-threatening to me.”;

Depp’s attorney filed a response, claiming that Heard’s allegations are essentially a cash grab, attempting to force Depp to pay her spousal support and move the divorce along quickly (the couple reportedly wed with no prenuptial agreement).

“Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse,”; said the attorney, according to court documents.

Depp himself has not directly responded to the abuse allegations; neither the actor’s attorney nor rep have responded to requests for comment.
