‘Biggest Loser’ Contestant Daniel Wright Dies After Battle With Leukemia

“Biggest Loser” contestant Daniel Wright passed away on Sunday at just 30-years-old.

Wright was diagnosed with leukemia in Oct. 2017. He competed on season seven of the hit reality television series. A number of Wright’s fellow “Biggest Loser” alums expressed their grief online.

“I am so so heartbroken to hear about Daniel Wright this morning. He has fought SO HARD during his battle with cancer and more,” Courtney Crozier Respess wrote on Facebook. “This man is one of the kindest people I have ever met & is a true difference maker in this world!”

“His faith has never faded, even in the darkest of times. I am honoured to have known him!” she continued. “Please keep him and his beautiful, amazing, and beyond strong wife Rebecca Wright in your prayers today as he is being called to heaven.”

Wright had returned to work following his initial bout with leukemia in 2017, according to his GoFundMe page, only to relapse with a more severe case in Dec. 2018. Two days before his passing, his wife Rebecca said the reality star was undergoing treatment after blood was found in his vomit.
