Britney Spears is addressing speculation that she’s not the person who posts videos on her social media channels, and the “Toxic” singer fired back by sharing a video of herself telling fans that they’re wrong.
“For those of you who don’t think I post my own videos,” Spears says directly to the camera in the video, ”I did this video yesterday, so you’re wrong. But I hope you like it.”
Spears accompanied the video by adding five apple emojis in the caption.
Swiping right brings a photo of Spears, 37, posing in a skimpy white minidress, followed by a video in of her dancing — in that dress and two others — as Rihanna’s “Man Down” plays as background music.
The timing of the video and the choice of song will no doubt lead to speculation about a hidden meaning; in “Man Down”, RiRi sings about shooting a man to death when a “simple altercation” gets out of hand, leading fans to wonder if that particular tune has anything to do with the restraining order she recently took out on former friend Sam Lufti, who briefly served as her manager.
