If you’ve been seeing tabloid stories claiming that Miranda Lambert’s recent marriage to Brendan McLoughlin is already on the rocks, the “Gunpowder and Lead” singer warns not to take those reports with a big grain of salt.
A rep for Lambert tells ET Canada that a cover story in The Star, declaring the couple is heading to divorce court just four months after their wedding, is “completely made up.”
Furthermore, the rep dismisses the story as fake news. “Not one iota is true,” the rep says, adding, “They are happy and together!”
Shortly after Valentine’s Day, the 35-year-old singer (who split from ex-husband Blake Shelton in 2015), revealed she and McLoughlin, a 27-year-old police officer with the NYPD, had wed.
“In honour of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news,” Lambert wrote on Instagram, accompanying a photo of herself and her new husband on their wedding day.
“I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you Brendan McLoughlin for loving me for…. me. ❤️ #theone,” she gushed.
