Mark-Paul Gosselaar is not particularly interested in all these new reboots, but he is keeping an open mind.
When asked about a potential “Saved by the Bell” reunion, Gosselaar told The Hollywood Reporter‘s “Awards Chatter” podcast he is reaffirming his stance.
“I’m okay, I mean me personally, never seeing a reboot ever again. I like original content,” he shared. “I don’t need to see these reboots, me personally, I don’t know the desire to see any of these reboots.”
“If it was a good product that I thought wouldn’t tarnish the original product, yeah, I’m open to hearing anything,” Gosselaar continued. “I love what they’ve done with ‘Cobra Kai’. That type of reboot is what I would be interested in exploring.”
Gosselaar also touched on his old feud with co-star Dustin Diamond. “Listen, I’ve worked with actors that I couldn’t stand being in the room with,” he expressed. “Dustin is not one of those people. Who cares about the book? The book was fiction… I don’t know what it was.”
“Saved by the Bell” originally ran from 1898 to 1993.
