Cardi B had to postpone a number of shows due to complications from her plastic surgeries.
Some fans were peeved about the cancellations, but Cardi is not about to shoulder the blame. “I do whatever the f**k I want to do with my body,” she said on Thursday via Instagram Live. “I don’t have the time of day like you do.”
“My job as an entertainer is a 24-hour job, bro,” Cardi continued. “So no, I don’t have time to work out. I wanted specific things that I know that no matter how much I work out won’t get fixed.”
“I hate cancelling shows because I love money. I’m a money addict,” she assured. “I get paid a lot of money, a lot of money for these shows. A lot of money. I’m cancelling millions of dollars in shows, but health is wealth so I have to do what I have to do.”
The “I Like It” rapper’s rep previously addressed the health complications. “Cardi was overzealous in getting back to work,” the rep told People. “She didn’t take the time necessary to fully recover from her surgery.”
Last week it was announced Cardi had pulled out of the 92Q Spring Bling Festival Memorial Day Weekend concert in Maryland and a Tuesday gig at El Paso County Coliseum in Texas.
