Cardi B first teased fans with “Press” late last year and now it is finally here.
While fans will still have to wait until July for the music video, they can listen to what could be the song of the summer until then.
In the lead up to the midnight release, the cover art for the song was released featuring a black and white nude photo of the rapper surrounded by paparazzi with an old Hollywood glam feel about it.
The first tease of “Press” was accompanied by a picture where Cardi imitated a picture of serial killer Aileen Wuornos (who she also tweeted a separate picture of). Wuornos was a former sex worker who was sentenced to death after killing 7 men. She claimed that they were all in self-defence. Wuornos was executed in 2002.
Cardi was nervously counting down the hours until the release of her latest baby. “Couple of more hours. Child the anxiety,” she tweeted.
The Grammy Award-winning artist’s last song was “Please Me” with Bruno Mars.
