Some comments made by Keanu Reeves in an interview with a Malaysian news outlet while promoting “John Wick 3: Parabellum” made headlines for his candid responses to some highly personal questions.

“You know, I’m the lonely guy,” Reeves said in response to a question about “romantic love.”

“I don’t have anyone in my life,” he added. “But if it does occur, I would respect and love the other person; hopefully, it’ll happen for me.”

Responding to a question about whether he was okay with being lonely, Reeves’ responded, “I don’t concern myself with it that much. I’m an actor, so in terms of what you’re asking about, I have no answer. There’s definitely paparazzi chasing after you, but I don’t go out much, I don’t really do anything.”

However, a rep for the actor claims that the interview — which originally ran in Malaysia’s, was entirely “fabricated.”

Reeves’ publicist tells HuffPost that the actor didn’t give an interview to, which allegedly combined snippets from other interviews to make it appear he was answering questions that, in fact, he hadn’t actually been asked.

“This interview did not happen,” the rep told HuffPoset. “This was pieced together from several interviews and the majority of these questions were not asked nor answered. They are fabricated.”
