Priyanka Chopra is calling out a British tabloid’s report about her alleged feud with Meghan Markle as fake news.
The former “Quantico” star’s ire was apparently raised by a story in The Sun claiming that she and husband Nick Jonas paid a visit to Markle in order to end the supposed feud, delivering an array of pricey baby gifts from famed jeweller Tiffany & Co.
An anonymous source tells the newspaper: “They thought baby Archie was just adorable and Meg is loving her new life,” adding, “She looked fantastic and has taken to life as a mum swimmingly.”
Chopra, 36, quickly took to Twitter to shut down the bogus report.
“While these are great gift ideas… this story is untrue, and I was actually in town for work,” she tweeted, adding, “I hope whoever this ‘source’ is starts checking their facts more often.”
Emily Andrews, the author behind the story defended her side of things, writing “I had three separate sources for this story.”
This isn’t the first time that Chopra has shut down rumours that she’s feuding with her good friend the Duchess of Sussex.
Appearing on “Watch What Happens Live” in March, a phone caller asked Chopra about whether the rumours are true that she’s upset because Markle didn’t attend her wedding to Nick Jonas, with host Andy Cohen noting other reports saying that she was so upset that she refused to attend Markle’s baby shower.
After bursting out in laughter upon hearing the question, Chopra offered a to-the-point response: “Oh my God, it’s not true.
