Gordon Ramsay is out of commission for awhile after undergoing an emergency operation on his Achilles tendon

The “Hell’s Kitchen”; star, 49, was set to play for the remainder of the World XI on Sunday for the charity event Soccer Aid, but was instead rushed to the hospital for an emergency operation after rupturing his Achilles.
The celeb chef recently shared a photo of himself in the hospital, focusing on his injured foot, captioning the pic: “Surgery went well, thank you all for your support and kind messages. Obviously upset I can’t play this weekend #socceraid and Ironman for #gosh #G&TFoundation next weekend in Saffs I’m not good at lying down. Now I’ve got no choice , need to sit still !!!! Thank you love to all G”

The father of four – but soon to be five – was to play alongside other celebs such as, Michael Sheen, Kasabian’s Sergio Pizzorno, Sir AP McCoy and Shayne Ward at the Old Trafford to face-up against an England XI directed by Jose Mourinho.
Soccer Aid is a British charity event that takes place once every two years. This year marks the charity’s tenth anniversary.
In a Facebook post, Ramsay lamented being forced to miss the charity match.
“Hi guys, I’ve been really looking forward to participating in both this weekend’s Soccer Aid and this year’s #GTR100,”; he wrote. “Sadly, following the devastating news that I have ruptured my Achilles, today, on the advice of my doctors I have undergone emergency surgery to fix the tear and can no longer participate in the forthcoming events.”;
