Martin Scorsese is taking Bob Dylan fans behind-the-scenes of the singer’s most notorious tour.
In the trailer for “Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bomb Dylan Story”, the acclaimed director goes back to 1975 when Dylan hit the road for a comeback tour that ended up being described as “a catastrophe.”
“The tour was not a success,” Dylan recalls in the trailer. “Not if you measure success in profit.”
The documentary features never-before-seen footage from the tour, in which Dylan opted to play small venues instead of massive stadiums.
The trailer also highlights performances of Dylan’s classics “Hurricane” and “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”.
“Rolling Thunder Revue” arrives on Netflix June 7.
According to The Wrap the doc will also be accompanied by a 14 CD, 148-track box set, Bob Dylan – Rolling Thunder Revue: The 1975 Live Recordings.
