Madonna And Guy Ritchie’s Custody Battle For Rocco Comes To A Close

Rocco Ritchie is back in Manhattan after the custody battle between his parents has reportedly come to a close.

The 15-year-old was spotted grabbing coffee with his friends in the Big Apple on Tuesday morning before allegedly heading back to his mother’s home.

While Madonna and Guy Ritchie were originally supposed to meet in court on Wednesday for a scheduled hearing over their son’s living arrangements, the case has now appeared to be disposed – motion pending by the New York State Supreme Court.

For the past year Rocco has been living with his father in London and just days before Christmas Madonna filed an order asking that Rocco return home to New York City under child abduction laws. While a judge ruled that Rocco return to live with his mother by the following month, Ritchie’s attorney Eric Buckley told Justice Deborah Kaplan that the teen “has expressed very clearly that he does not want to return to New York.”;

On March 21, High Court Judge Alistair MacDonald released a ruling that allowed Madonna to withdraw her proceedings in the United Kingdom, saying it would be a “tragedy for Rocco if any more of the precious and fast receding days of his childhood were to be taken up by this dispute.”;

In late April, the 57-year-old singer visited her son in London and it is assumed that the two have since repaired their relationship.
