Priyanka Chopra has fired back at critics who accused her of oversharing her wedding photographs.
Chopra tied the knot with Jonas in December 2018, with the pair having lavish celebrations over a number of days in India.
Despite some saying Chopra posted too many snaps of the special occasion, the actress insists: “If I wasn’t a famous person and I’d just got married, don’t you think my Insta would have photos of me and my husband?”
She tells the Sunday Times: “Just because I’m famous, don’t I have the ability to be proud of being a newlywed without people saying that I’m using my marriage?
“I gave up my right to privacy when I became a public person, it’s the deal you make with the devil. But trust me, there are lots of things I still keep personal.”
Chopra’s Sunday Times interview also sees her call out the “racism” in the British press when discussing her friend Meghan Markle.
“For sure, 100 per cent [it has to do with racism],” the “Quantico” star says. “Of course it has to do with racism, it’s an obvious reason. But the beauty of Meg is that she’s been herself through all of this.”
