Rihanna is the queen of music as far as finances are concerned.
The “Work” singer is reportedly the wealthiest woman in the entire music industry, according to Tuesday’s Forbes profile, with $600 million in the bank.
Rihanna’s $600 million outpaces other industry stars like Madonna ($570 million), Celine Dion ($450 million) and Beyoncé ($400 million).
Rihanna’s ventures outside of music contributed a large proportion of the singer’s war chest, particularly her exploits in fashion. In 2017, Rihanna and France’s LVMH collaborated on Fenty Beauty. That massively successful collaboration raked in a reported $100 million in its first few weeks.
“It challenged the standard convention that you only needed a very defined set of shades to satisfy a market,” Jefferies research analyst Stephanie Wissink said. “Not only did [Fenty Beauty] achieve meaningful sales but it potentially changed the industry permanently.”
Fenty is reportedly worth $3 billion to LVMH and Rihanna holds an estimated 15 per cent stake in the company, according to Billboard.
