As the owner of Aviation Gin, Ryan Reynolds is prepared to pull out all the stops to make his company successful – something Fyre Festival event producer Andy King knows something about.
King, whose casual and shocking revelation that he was asked to perform oral sex in order to secure Evian water in the Netflix “Fyre” documentary chronicling the disastrous Fyre Festival made him a viral sensation, makes a surprise appearance in the new Aviation Gin ad.
Dubbed “How Far”, the new ad features Reynolds going to great lengths for Aviation Gin, including learning how to hand-create the new signature bottle.
“I committed to blowing every signature bottle. Personally,” Reynolds says in voice-over narration before asking, “Can you ever really go too far for your company? I just don’t think it’s possible.”
Cue a cutaway to King, watching the commercial at a bar: “He gets it,” King says as he orders an Aviation Gin in the ad created by Escape Velocity Content with director Bryan Rowland and producer Alec Eskander.
The ad is just the latest spot in the company’s tongue-in-cheek marketing videos featuring Reynolds – and sometimes Hugh Jackman.
