“Avengers: Endgame” featured the deaths of some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most beloved heroes and that isn’t sitting right with some fans.
Many were left weeping in the theatre during the climactic battle of “Endgame” when Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark sacrificed his life to defeat Thanos.
But a new petition aims to see Marvel bring Stark back to life and more than 38,000 people have already signed it.
Started by Méline Louiseau, the petition’s mission statement reads: “MCU’s Tony deserves to come back fully alive. Tony Stark was always ready to risk his life, suffer, and sacrifice himself for anyone, without ever receiving anything in return.”
Louiseau continues, “He has helped so many people (in the mcu and in our world), he has helped people to live (including me) to overcome their problems, to accept themselves, to face life. He’s so important. He saved our lives and it’s our turn to save him.”
Marvel has brought other characters back to life before, but as yet there is no indication of any such plans for Stark. Trailers for the upcoming “Spider-Man: Far From Home” movie reveal that Peter Parker begins the film in mourning for his late father figure.
