Alec Baldwin is about to be roasted.
The “Saturday Night Live” legend will act as the latest roastee in “The Comedy Central Roast Of Alec Baldwin”, which will be taped this summer in New York with Sean Hayes serving as master.
“It’s always been my dream to roast a Hollywood legend, so when they asked me to roast Alec Baldwin I said ‘close enough,’” Sean Hayes said.
“Getting roasted will be the greatest honours of my lifetime besides being a father, a husband, hosting ‘SNL’ 17 times, receiving Golden Globes, Emmys and working with Martin Scorsese,” Baldwin said of the roast in a statement.
Meanwhile, Executive Vice President of Talent and Development at Comedy Central, Jonas Larsen, says the upcoming show will be one for the books: “Alec Baldwin has done so many great things it will be a unique treat to spend a night focusing on everything he’d rather forget.”
Baldwin joins stars like Bruce Willis, Rob Lowe, Justin Bieber, James Franco, Charlie Sheen and Donald Trump, who have all been roasted on Comedy Central.
Baldwin and Comedy Central will both contribute $1 million, matching $500,000 in donations to Exploring The Arts, a non-profit that helps students learn through art education in New York and Los Angeles.
“The Comedy Central Roast Of Alec Baldwin” airs on Sept. 15 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
