The “Dark Phoenix” star appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Tuesday along with castmates Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Tye Sheridan and Nicholas Hoult.

During the interview, Turner revealed that she is deathly afraid of walking over sewer grates.

“I was told when I was very young that you have to say ‘onions’ to reverse the curse and now I truly can’t walk over a drain without freaking out and having to say ‘onions,'” she explained.

Later in the interview, Lawrence told the story of how Turner managed to turn on the tears for an emotional scene after having her Juul vape device taken away.

“[Sophie’s] dialect coach, right before the take, took her Juul away,” Lawrence teased. “She started genuinely tearing up. It was like, the performance of the year.”
