Fetty Wap has found himself in the hot seat after releasing the music video for his single “Wake Up”, which displays references to drug use and exotic dancers in his old high school.

The video was shot at East Side High School in Paterson, New Jersey, with school official none too pleased to be associated with the video. In fact, a New Jersey school district is investigating whether or not the rapper had the right to film on the school grounds.
Spokeswoman Terry Corallo explained to NJ.com that the district does not, in any way, endorse the behaviour displayed in the rappers video and ensures that it was not filmed during school hours.
“Wake Up” was initially released on April 20 — cough, 420 — and makes blatant references to the use of marijuana. The hook of the song declares: “Let’s get Wiz Khalifa high and/Get meditated over medicated/Get Wiz Khalifa high and/Throw your caps in the air like you know you made it.”
