Kane Brown Brings The Summertime Vibe To The CMT Awards With ‘Short Skirt Weather’

The official start of summer is still a few weeks away, but country music fans watching Wednesday’s CMT Awards already have their new song of the summer, courtesy of Kane Brown.

Taking to the stage outside of Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, the 25-year-old singer — and soon-to-be first-time dad — performed “Short Skirt Weather”, the latest single off his 2018 album Experiment.

Surrounded by female fans waving polka-dot flags, Brown turned the infectious song into an epic singalong that got the crowd seriously pumped.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Brown admitted that while Experiment is his attempt at fusing pop and country sounds, “Short Skirt Weather” was a song that he “tried to make for traditional country fans.”
