Emma Thompson has some simple advice for men after the rise of the #MeToo movement.
While promoting her new film “Late Night”, the actress, 60, chatted with the Los Angeles Times, revealing she’s over the men who claim they don’t know how to interact women anymore.
“Get a grip guys, it’s not rocket science,” she said. “You just behave with respect and courtesy. Now shut up and get on with it.”
And she’s frustrated with how this behaviour has infiltrated the workplace.
“Please don’t make this your… problem,” she said. “I’m so fed up with that I just want to smack them.”
Thompson stars in the highly anticipated comedy “Late Night”, written by Mindy Kaling, as a late-night talk show host who’s world is turned upside down when she hires her first and only female staff writer (Kaling).
“Late Night” hits big screens June 7.
