Julie Andrews To Star In Netflix Series Introducing Children To The Performing Arts

Expect to see a lot more of Julie Andrews on the small screen now that the legendary “Sound of Music”; actress has signed on to star in a new Netflix series aiming to introduce children to the world of the performing arts.

Produced by The Jim Henson Company, “Julie’s Greenroom”; will see Andrews co-starring alongside a cast of puppet kids who are eager to learn about theatre, dance, music and the like.

“The show will bring the performing arts to a new generation of kids known as the “Greenies,’ a diverse group of kids who are mesmerized by all that the arts and creativity has to offer,”; explains the Netflix announcement.

Most episodes will feature an original song, and each episode will promises a featured guest star, including Alec Baldwin, Sara Bareilles, Joshua Bell, Tituss Burgess, Carol Burnett, Chris Colfer, Robert Fairchild, Josh Groban, David Hyde Pierce, Bill Erwin, Ellie Kemper, Idina Menzel, Tiler Peck and Stomp.
