Tom Holland Slurps His First Oyster Alongside Robert Downey Jr. In Sneak Peek At Jon Favreau’s ‘The Chef Show’

Known for his work as an actor and director, Jon Favreau is also a serious foodie, and takes his love of culinary excellence to the next level with “The Chef Show”, a new Netflix series that sees him teaming up with acclaimed Chef Roy Choi (with whom he worked on his 2014 film “Chef”).

In a new clip from the upcoming show, Favreau and Choi are in Atlanta having dinner with the cast of “Avengers: Endgame”, a group that includes Robert Downey Jr. and “Spider-Man: Homecoming” star Tom Holland, who reveals that in his entire life he has never eaten an oyster on the half-shell.

That’s remedied when Choi fixes it up appropriately and hands it to Holland, who slurps it down and seems to like what he tastes.

“Cooking is a journey. And making a meal is about more than just food,” reads Netflix’s synopsis for the show. ” It’s about appreciating friends, family and tradition. An opportunity to come together. To learn, to share and to celebrate different flavours, cultures and people. In ‘The Chef Show’, actor/director Jon Favreau and award-winning Chef Roy Choi reunite after their critically acclaimed film ‘Chef’ to embark on a new adventure. The two friends experiment with their favourite recipes and techniques, baking, cooking, exploring and collaborating with some of the biggest names in the entertainment and culinary world. From sharing a meal with the ‘Avengers’ cast in Atlanta, to smoking brisket in Texas with world-renowned pit-master Aaron Franklin, to honouring the legendary food critic Jonathan Gold in Los Angeles — Favreau and Choi embrace their passion for food, but more importantly their love for bringing people together over a delicious meal.”

Other celebrity guests to chow down with Favreau and Choi in the series’ debut season include comedian Bill Burr, director Robert Rodriguez, celebrity chef David Chang and many more.
