Julianne Moore And Michelle Williams Star In ‘After The Wedding’

Julianne Moore and Michelle Williams are starring in the remake of the 2006 Danish film “After The Wedding” from “Bird Box” director Susanne Bier.

The Bart Freundlich directed remake that was premiered at the Sundance Film Festival follows Isabel (Williams), who runs an orphanage in India. A benefactor, Theresa (Moore), wants to fund her but she must travel to New York to meet her and her family first.

Theresa’s husband, Oscar (Billy Crudup), and Isabel have a mysterious past in this movie filled with twists and turns.

“Was it strange to see Oscar again?” Theresa asks Isabel over drinks. “He’s a good-looking man now, but back then he must have really been something.”

“After The Wedding” will be released in select theatres on Aug. 9.
