With 22 films and more in the works, it’s hard to keep up with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it looks like Gwyneth Paltrow had the same issue as she completely forgot that she was in “Spider-Man: Homecoming”.
While appearing on an episode of Netflix’s new cooking series “The Chef Show”, hosted by Jon Favreau and celebrity chef Roy Choi, the 46-year-old actress helped stir up a new dish called the “Pepper Pott”, a vegetarian stew hilariously named after her MCU character.
However, when Favreau started speaking with Paltrow about cooking the dish on the set of “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, she was shocked to realize that she had actually taken part in the film.
“We were actually doing it when we were filming Spider-Man, that was the first time. We just brought a film crew with us down to Atlanta, and we cooked at…,” Favreau started.
“Spider-Man?” Paltrow quickly stated. “Well yeah, we were on ‘Spider-Man’ together. Remember we were on ‘Spider-Man’?” the 52-year-old director said.
“We weren’t in ‘Spider-Man’,” the actress replied. “Yes we were…you were in ‘Spider-Man’,” Favreau insisted. “No, I was in Avengers,” she said.
“No, but ‘Spider-Man’ also. Remember ‘Spider-Man’, at the end…and Tom Holland’s there, and you’re gonna walk out and do a press conference, and I give you the ring,” the “Lion King” director stated.
“Oh yes! That was Spider-Man? Oh my god!” Paltrow amusingly recalled.

Although Paltrow said she wouldn’t be starring in anymore MCU films, the actress did reveal she may have a couple of cameos in some of their future projects, with “Spider-Man: Homecoming” being one of them.
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” hits theatres on July 2, 2019.
