Oprah Winfrey has always been very open about her weight issues, but now she is revealing even more in a letter for Global Wellness Day.

In a letter to Weight Watchers members, the icon spoke of being pre-diabetic before joining WW.

According to People, the letter read, “I haven’t shared with many, but I will share with you, that I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes before WW.”

Oprah continues that her blood pressure “is now stabilized and in a healthy range,” and her blood sugar “numbers are back to normal too!”

Since joining, she has lost 42 pounds and believes in the company that “changed [her] life” so much she became a shareholder.

“Beyond the weight, WW has helped me make healthier choices and understand the real numbers that matter most.”

She also says that Vernita, her mother, who passed away in November “had type 2 diabetes and was dependent on insulin.”
