It shouldn’t be surprising that the woman whose first marriage ended by bringing the phrase “conscious uncoupling” into the lexicon would enjoy some downright unconventional living arrangements with her second husband.
Yet that’s the case for Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk, revealing in an interview with the Sunday Times that she and the “American Horror Story” producer, who wed in September, only live together four nights each week.
As she explains, Falchuk, 48, spends three nights a week at his own home to be with his two children from his previous marriage.
While the arrangement may sound strange, Paltrow says it’s a perfect scenario. “Oh, all my married friends say that the way we live sounds ideal and we shouldn’t change a thing,” she says, pointing out that her life coach says it brings “polarity” to their marriage.
In the interview, the 46-year-old Goop founder also opens up about remaining close to ex-husband Chris Martin.
“Chris is family and Brad and he, they’re like, totally friends,” she says of the Coldplay frontman, adding that she “adores” her ex’s new girlfriend, “Fifty Shades of Grey” star Dakota Johnson.
And when it comes to those who criticize her unconventionality, Paltrow is quick to dismiss them.
“Oh, I don’t care about the haters,” she says. “Haters are irrelevant to me… Haters don’t mean anything to me because they are not my people.”
