Samuel L. Jackson is a prophet and he didn’t know it.
Stephen Colbert told the actor he’d correctly predicted that Donald Trump could become president back in 2016 during a previous “Late Show” appearance.
Jackson said at the time, “Don’t think the other thing can’t happen. That’s why the Brexit is trying to get a recall right now, but we’re not gonna get a do-over.”

As Colbert questioned him on the clip, the “Shaft” star insisted Monday: “I didn’t want to be right. I hope I was trying to be funny.”

Warning viewers that what happened in 2016 could happen again in 2020, Jackson said: “I was really hoping people would go vote, and I hope they’ll go vote now because now they know what can happen.”
