Kate Middleton had the cutest response as she met a little royal fan who wondered why she wasn’t wearing her princess dress on Tuesday.
Kate and William attended a royal engagement in Cumbria, UK, where the shy youngster in question’s dad told Kate she was quite the fan.
He told his daughter, “It’s a princess. You love princesses!”
The man then told Kate, “She wanted to know if you’d be wearing your Princess Elsa [from ‘Frozen’] dress.”

The Duchess replied, “I know. I’m sorry. I came in my trousers and my coat because I’m going to see some sheep.”
She also told the little girl’s sister that she loved their braids, admitting she’d tried to do a similar hairdo for Charlotte that morning but it didn’t work out as planned.

Kate and William’s outing also saw them meet representatives from the mountain rescue service and a drugs advisory group.
They then visited a traditional mountain sheep farm, where they got involved with some of the sheep shearing.
