Mark Salling walked into a downtown Los Angeles courtroom on Friday and surrendered to federal authorities one week after being indicted on child pornography charges.

According to TMZ, prosecutors believe the actor should remain in custody as he’s considered a flight risk.

According to the Associated Press, the 33-year-old actor was set to be arraigned on two charges of receiving and possessing child porn on his laptop and a flash drive.

On Thursday, the former “Glee” star was spotted exiting the bank with a $100,000 made payable to the Clerk of the U.S. District Court.

The actor was photographed entering the Central District of California on Friday, where he is expected to turn himself in.

As People reports, the “receiving”; charges Salling is up against carry a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in federal prison as well as a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years. Possessing child pornography also carries a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.

Shortly after his indictment on child pornography charges, Salling was fired from his upcoming miniseries “Gods and Secrets”. “He has been cut from the miniseries,”; executive producer Adi Shankar said. “I will personally be paying for the reshoots, and I hope that Mark finds inner peace.”;

Sailing’s laptop, hard drive and flash drive were seized by police last December and were said to contain images and videos of child pornography.
