UPDATE: Lindsay Lohan accepts a plea deal. She made a counter offer to the plea deal the prosecutor made. She is set to do 90 days at a locked rehab facility, 30 days of community labour and has to complete 18 months of psychotherapy. The initial offer was 90 days in jail, but she can do that time in a locked rehab facility.
Lindsay Lohan’s private jet was diverted to Atlantic Aviation at LAX in an effort to get her to her court hearing on time. LAX is closer to her court appointment than Van Nuys airport, where the Raytheon Hawker 800 she was aboard was originally scheduled to land.
The plane touched down at 8:38 AM PT, eight minutes after she was scheduled in court. As of 8:58 a.m., Lohan was making her way from the airport to the courthouse.
Sources tell ET that Lindsay’s assistant Gavin Doyle, who is scheduled to testify today was also on the plane.
Lindsay was scheduled to appear at 8:30 a.m. PT in a Los Angeles courtroom near LAX. She faces one misdemeanor count each of reckless driving, providing false information to an officer and willfully resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer, all while she remains on probation for shoplifting.
The charges stem from a June 18, 2012 car accident in which her Porsche rear-ended a truck as she traveled to the set of her Lifetime movie, Liz & Dick. Lindsay claimed following the accident that she hadn’t been driving and that her assistant Gavin was in fact the driver.
