“Orphan Black” is coming back with its Emmy-winning original star Tatiana Maslany but it won’t be on TV.
According to IndieWire, the show’s production company has partnered with the audiobook platform Serial Box for a 10-episode audio series titled “Orphan Black: The Next Chapter”.
Maslany will be reprising her multiple roles in the series, and Serial Box is teasing that her character Cosima’s relationship with Évelyne Brochu’s Delphine “definitely plays a big part in the story.”
“We are delighted to be able to extend the ‘Orphan Black’ franchise through this new and innovative partnership with Serial Box,” the show’s executive producers Ivan Schneeberg and David Fortier said in a statement. “‘Orphan Black’’s devoted fans will now get more of what they love on this exciting listening and reading platform.”
“Orphan Black” originally ran on TV for five seasons, with its finale airing in August 2017.
The show followed Sarah Manning, also played by Maslany, who discovered that she is one of several identical clones.
