Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have hired a nanny for Archie.
The two had the help of Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, for the first few weeks of their newborn’s life but now that she has returned to Los Angeles and the two have a busy summer as well as a fall tour coming up, extra hands are needed.
A source confirms to ET Canada that the couple has hired a female nanny for their son but the private details will be kept quiet.
A royal insider added, “Meghan is an absolutely amazing mom, totally hands-on and devoted according to friends. Like every new parent, the Sussexes have been experiencing a few sleepless nights, and the new nanny has been helping out to give them a little break. “
“The nanny is not living full time at Frogmore, but giving Meghan and Harry an extra set of hands as needed. Meghan will take maternity leave through the summer however will attend various family events.“
According to Harper’s Bazaar, the British-born nanny is not live-in and she doesn’t work on the weekends.
Having extra help around will come in handy during the tour to Africa that the Sussex family plans on taking in October. Details are currently being worked out but South Africa, Malawi and Angola are on the list.
While Prince Harry will be visiting all the locations, the Duchess of Sussex and Archie are expected to take on fewer engagements that are part of the two-week tour.
The new hire falls in place just as Archie turns 6-weeks-old, typically the time the Royal Family holds the Christening. So there’s no doubt it will be an eventful summer at the Sussex household.
