After a New York couple had their dog stolen, Olivia Munn came to the rescue.
The horrible incident started when the couple was using Wag, a dog walking app. Their last minute dog walker who would come and take Benny out every day had to cancel last minute so a sub was scheduled. When the walker arrived the dog was missing.
“It was just like a moment you can’t explain, you just stop everything and you’re like ‘what the hell has happened here?’” Max Trooper told CBS2 about finding out his dog was gone.
By using the building video surveillance the man stealing the dog turned out to be the original dog walker.
According to Page Six, Sophie and Max contacted Olivia Munn, an investor and “create strategist” for the company, through Instagram who reportedly spent the night on the phone with the couple keeping them calm and helping in any way she could to get Benny found.
“We were speaking with Olivia nonstop from 4 a.m until 8 a.m,” Max said. “She was trying to keep us calm. She was connecting us with very senior people at Wag.”
ET Canada has confirmed their story with Munn’s rep.
Wag set up a hotline as well as hired a private investigator.
By Friday evening, Benny was found safe.

UPDATE BENNY WAS FOUND!!!!!!! We are so so so grateful to Detective Kaufman and the other officers from @nypd and @oliviamunn and everyone in the community for their help in bringing our angel home!!!!! Benny was rescued by an amazing detective from Precinct 1 NYPD. The suspect is in custody.
While the couple said they will never use Wag again, the company says they do vet all their walkers with a background check and that the man responsible has been banned.
